If you're considering a change of career or just want to learn a new skill, dry stone walling could be for you. Here in the Wychwood Forest we practice Cotswold Drystone Walling using the local Oolitic limestone.

On this beginners' course you can expect to learn about:

stripping down a wall
grading and sorting stone
base stones
building stones
throughs and toppers.
Using local stone and local methods, you will gain experience with the tools and techniques necessary to build a drystone wall in the Cotswold style.

Please come with stout boots and suitable clothing.

Location TBC but likely to be in the Cogges disabled car park or by the church
