Police chase leads to three car collision in Didcot

On Tuesday afternoon a man was arrested after failing to stop when requested by police in Long Wittenham.

At around 3.30pm a silver Renault failed to stop and drove at speed along the A4130.

Following a police pursuit, the vehicle drove to Long Wittenham, just six miles north of Didcot and collided with two other vehicles on High Street. 

The 23 year old man of no fixed abode was arrested on suspicion of various crimes including dangerous driving and failing to stop and the supply and possession of drugs. 

He has since been released on bail.

Investigating officer PC Shahed Ali, based at Abingdon police station said: “I am appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident, particularly any other drivers who have dash-cam footage of a silver Renault Clio driving in Didcot and Long Wittenham, to please get in touch.
