Fatos Xheta is due in court this morning after being remanded in custody.
35-year-old Safie Xheta was found dead in a property on Lytton Road in Cowley last month.
A man was also taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Fatos Xheta, who's 45 and also lives in Lytton Road, is due before Oxford Magistrates later in connection with the incident.
Thames Valley Police’s Major Crime Unit launched a murder investigation on June 17th and sent forensic officers to the scene.
The force said at the time that it believed the incident was an 'isolated' one.

Fatos Xheta, aged 45, of Lytton Road, Cowley, has been charged with one count of murder and is at court today.
It is in relation to an incident on 17 June when Safie Xheta was found deceased at a property in Lytton Road.
