The vehicle smashed into a load of parked cars and a wall.
It happened on Thursday night in Wood Lane, Sonning Common
A man in his 40s was taken to the John Radcliffe with life-threatening injuries and sadly died in hospital at the weekend.
His next of kin are being supported by specially-trained Thames Valley Police officers.
Alexander Clarke, of no fixed address, was charged on Friday (4/1) with causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, failing to provide a roadside breath test and using a motor vehicle on a road/public place without third party insurance.
He appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Saturday and was remanded in custody.
The 38-year-old is now due at Reading Crown Court on 4 February.
Investigations in to the circumstances surrounding the crash continue.
