A man has been charged in connection with the discovery of a cannabis factory in an industrial unit in a business park in Avenue Three, in Witney, on Tuesday.
Adhurim Hoxha, aged 41, of no fixed abode, was charged yesterday, with being concerned in the production of a Class B drug.
The factory was discovered at around 11.30am, and officers found approximately 700 plants within the property that have since been seized.
Hoxha has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Oxford Crown Court on 16 July.
Detective Chief Inspector, Kelly Glister, Crime Manager for Cherwell and West Oxfordshire, said: “A scene watch has been on since the discovery, to ensure all evidence is captured and the safe removal is conducted, and a charge has been made in connection with this.
“This discovery is largely due to community intelligence and reports from the public, so I would like to thank them for their due diligence and also for their patience while officers have been at the scene. The scene watch is to remain in place for the rest of the day whilst officers continue to investigate, I am so grateful for your patience whilst this is ongoing."
