Cyclist suffers serious injuries after crash in Oxford

The driver left without leaving their details, while the cyclist, a woman, remains in hospital.

At around 8.20am today a cyclist was travelling along St Clements Street near to the junction of Boulter Street when they were involved in a collision with a black or blue coloured hatchback vehicle.

The driver stopped initially but then left without leaving their details.

The cyclist, a woman in her thirties, sustained serious but not life threatening injuries and remains in hospital at this time.

Investigating officer, PC Chris Weatherley, of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, said: “I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident to please come forward.

“Further, I’d also ask any motorists who were in the area around the time of the incident to check any dash-cam footage in case it may have captured something that could help our investigation.

“Anyone with information can call 101 or make a report online, quoting reference 43210207269.”
