
Coronavirus forced it to close for almost five months.
At 10am today The Ashmolean opened it's doors once again.
Covid-19 safety measures are in place like one-way routes, takeaway catering, hand-sanitiser stations and the public are being asked to wear face-coverings.
Visitors now need to book before going and numbers are capped too.
Dr Xa Sturgis, Director of the Museum, said: 'It is wonderful to be able to welcome people back - they have been sorely missed.
"Art needs an audience and at a time like this, we are all in need of the things museums offer us - enjoyment, reflection and escape. I cannot wait to open our big blue doors and see people coming in again.'
