Friday was the final of ‘Date My Dad’ on JACK’s Morning Glory. The studio was the busiest it’s been for a long time as our dad, Steve, had to choose just one of the three ladies he’d dated earlier in the week to take out for a second date…LIVE ON AIR!
In what was clearly a difficult decision, third place went to Angie, who Steve met on Tuesday night over dinner at Brasserie Blanc in Jericho, which preceded an entertaining ghost tour with the legendary Bill Spectre around the oldest streets in Oxford.
A while later on JACK’s Morning Glory Steve had to pick his runner-up. The next beautiful bunch of Jemini Flowers were handed to Bev, who took Steve on a date at Atomic Pizza on Cowley Road on Wednesday evening.
The winner of the Date My Dad competition was the fun, outgoing and bubbly Cathryn who took Steve to walk, zip and glide at High Ropes Oxford, followed by a picnic in the grounds. Steve now has the luxury of being able to go on a date without being recorded or photographed, something he is looking forward to! The couple are to enjoy dinner at The Malmaison, followed by a film on the roof, courtesy of cultscreens.co.uk
We wish Steve and Cathryn the very best for the future, and if love blossoms we better be invited to the wedding!
Everyone at Jack fm would like to extend a huge thank you to Steve, his family and his friends. We would like to thank all of the applicants that applied to date Steve and congratulate our three wonderful finalists. Finally we would like to thank all of the businesses that have worked with us during this project and helped make it a success.
