A disappointing season ended in style in Kent, as Oxford United ran riot to go 3-0 up inside the first half an hour. Matt Green bagged a brace, including a goal inside 35 seconds. Phil Trainer scored the 2nd, his 9th of the season, with a simple tap-in. United went to sleep at the start of the second half and conceded a sloppy goal but unlike the collapses against Torquay and Exeter earlier in the season, the U's held strong to record their 5th straight win and 9th in 11.
