250 Oxford fans made the trip to Aldershot for this Johnstone's Paint Trophy first round tie. Wilder rang the changes with the starting line-up with new loan signing Josh Payne making his debut. The new look midfield of Clist, Payne and Baker played some good football going forward but failed to make any real impact in the final third. Alfie Potter hit the bar with a chip over the keeper before Hylton opened the scoring in the first half. Spencer grabbed Aldershot's second in the second half and shortly after Creighton rattled the woodwork getting on the end of a low corner.
